Are All Go Raw Products Plant-Based?
Yes! All Go Raw products are made with simple, minimally-processed, whole ingredients that come from plants—ingredients such as pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconuts, bananas, dates, herbs, and spices.
What are the Benefits of Sprouting?
Go Raw’s sprouting process mimics nature’s germination process to “activate” our seeds. Sprouting helps break down phytic acid, a natural plant compound often called an “anti-nutrient” due to its negative effects on mineral absorption. Sprouting helps unlock the nutrients in seeds, making them easier for your body to absorb and the seeds easier to digest. Learn More
Are Go Raw Products Minimally-Processed?
Yes! Go Raw snacks are kept as close to nature as possible. Our products are made with sprouted superseeds and other whole, plant-based ingredients.
Are Go Raw Products Allergen Free?
Go Raw’s products are free of most major allergens: gluten, peanuts, tree nuts (with the exception of coconuts), dairy, soy, eggs, fish, and shellfish. However, some Go Raw products do contain coconut and sesame. Because Go Raw product lines are produced in different facilities, they have different allergen disclosures:
Seeds & Salad Toppers: Manufactured in a facility that also processes tree nuts, wheat, soy, sesame, milk and eggs.
Clusters: CONTAINS COCONUT. Manufactured in a facility that processes eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, other tree nuts, milk, and sesame.
Granola: CONTAINS COCONUT AND SESAME SEEDS. Manufactured in a facility that processes eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, other tree nuts, and milk.
Bars: Manufactured in a facility that processes sesame and tree nuts.
While these products are made in the same facilities, they do not always share lines with other products containing allergens. Regardless, Go Raw conducts deep cleaning and allergen swabbing between runs to ensure there is no cross contamination.
Do Go Raw Products Contain Genetically Modified Ingredients?
The term GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organism, and we, at Go Raw, do not use ingredients that have had their genetic material, or DNA, deliberately altered to carry new traits.
Are Go Raw Products Certified Organic?
Yes, all Go Raw products are certified organic by Organic Certifiers.
Are Go Raw Products Non-GMO?
Yes, since all Go Raw products are certified organic, they are naturally non-GMO, but we go the extra step to verify our items with the Non-GMO Project.
Are Go Raw Products Certified Gluten-Free?
All Go Raw products are naturally gluten-free and we conduct gluten swabbing and testing on lines to ensure there is no gluten contamination of our products.
However, due to the cost of certification, we have only decided to certify some of our items as gluten-free by the Gluten Intolerance Group. These items include our 22oz, 18oz, 14oz, and 10oz seed products.
Are Go Raw Products Vegan?
Yes, all Go Raw products are naturally vegan.
Are Go Raw Products Certified Kosher?
All Go Raw products are certified Kosher by Orthodox Union. If you have a question about a specific product, please contact us. You can also find our items listed on the OU Kosher website.
Why Do Some of my Seeds Have Dark Spots And/Or Small Pieces?
The dark spots and pieces are actually bits of skin from the seeds and are completely normal. When we soak and sprout our seeds, sometimes the seed kernels break open, causing the skin to come off the seeds. When our seeds are dehydrated these pieces get crispy and delicious.
Why are Sprouts not Visibly Coming Out of the Seeds?
In nature, sprouting is how seeds germinate and start to grow into plants. Go Raw seeds are soaked and sprouted to activate this process, however, we halt the process just before our seeds start to grow shoots and split apart.
