This Privacy Policy applies to the FREELAND FOODS, LLC websites on which it appears. Your use of our website constitutes your acceptance of, and agreement to, this Privacy Statement and the practices it describes.

  1. We collect information from and about you.

    The categories of information we collect from or about you depend on how you interact with us and may include the following.

    Device & Usage Information. When you visit our sites, certain information about your visit is automatically logged. This includes the information about your device through which you access the Internet (such as operating system, browser, device ID, server name and IP address), as well as information about how you interact with and use the site, such as the date and time you access our site, the pages you access while visiting our site, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site. We use the browsing information collected automatically by our servers primarily to help us administer and improve our website. We may also use browsing information to provide information about our website to advertisers, potential business partners and other unaffiliated entities.

    Personally Identifiable Information. You can visit and browse the public portions of our website without disclosing personally identifiable information about yourself. You may also choose to enter our site to apply for a job, contact us, submit surveys, or otherwise communicate or interact with us. If you do so, we may collect personally identifiably information about you, which may vary depending on how you use our site. The personally identifiable information we collect may include, for example, your name, address, phone number, email address, employment information, areas of interest and other information about you. Where possible, we indicate which information is required and which is optional. You always have the option of not providing us any information if you choose not to use the service for which that information is required.

    Job Application Information. If you apply for a job, we collect information about your job application and associated activities on our sites. This information may include, without limitation, areas of the website that you visit, as well as the information collected in connection with your job application.

    Email and Other Voluntary Communications. You may choose to communicate with us through email, via our website, by telephone, in writing, or through other means. We will also collect any other personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us.

    Product Reviews. When you submit a review or feedback voluntarily or through an incentivized program, we may collect:

    • Your name (or the name you provide in your submission).
    • Your written feedback, including any ratings or comments.
    • Images or videos submitted with your review (if applicable).
    • Any other information you choose to include in your review.

    By submitting a review, you grant FREELAND FOODS, LLC permission to use your submitted information in the following ways:

    If your review is posted on third-party platforms (e.g., social media, review platforms), their privacy policies and terms of service will apply in addition to this policy.

  2. We use information as disclosed and described here.

    We use each category of information we collect for the following purposes:

    • Managing our business and providing our products and services, including:
      • Helping to establish and verify the identity of users;
      • Opening, maintaining, administering and servicing users accounts;
      • Providing products, services and support to users;
      • Maintaining and managing our relationship with users;
      • Reporting, monitoring, accounting, and other management activities; and
      • Any other activities relating to the operation of our business or provision of our products and services;
    • Analytics, improvement, and product and service development, including:
      • Improving our website, including tailoring it to users’ preferences;
      • Analyzing, evaluating, and improving our products, services, technologies, and business;

      • Communicating with users about promotions they may enter on our websites; and

    • Personalizing our websites, products and services, including by showing you contents, features and other information that we think you might be interested in;

      • Complying with, establishing, asserting, exercising, defending against, or enforcing any legal claims, legal rights, legal obligations, legal process, government requests, our policies, internal investigations or prudent security or business practices; and
    • For other purposes notified to you, to which you consent, or permitted by applicable law.
  3. You have certain choices about our marketing practices.

    If you enroll in our email newsletter, we will also send you marketing messages about our products and services. If you do not wish to receive marketing communications from us, please send an email containing your request to marketing@goraw.com. Even if you opt out of receiving marketing messages, we will still send you transactional messages, or messages about the security of your information. These include responses to your questions.

  4. We may share information with certain third parties.

    We do not sell your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their use in marketing directly to you. We may, however, disclose personal information for the purposes described above to the following categories of entities:

    • Affiliates. We may disclose your personal information with our corporate affiliates (e.g., parent company, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control).

    We retain personal information for the length of time needed to carry out the processing purposes described in the Privacy Policy. We also retain information for business purposes consistent with our retention policy and as permitted by applicable law, including for security, legal compliance, and disputes and claims handling.

    Our sites may contain links to other websites, including those of our partners or advertisers. Please be aware that FREELAND FOODS is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other websites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements provided by other websites before you provide personally identifiable information to them.

  7. Cookies and Tracking Tools. Our servers, or the servers of companies that we use to operate this site, may place a cookie, pixel, or other similar technology (collectively, “Cookies”) on your computer. Cookies may be used for any purpose outlined in this Privacy Policy, including in order to allow you to use our website and to personalize your experience. Cookies may be placed by us or by third parties, such as advertising partners. Cookies may collect all personal information outlined in this Privacy Policy, including the “Device & Usage Information” and “Personally Identifiable Information” outlined in Section 1 above.

    What are Cookies? Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function properly, while others help us perform other purposes, such as personalizing your experience, analyzing website traffic and performance, or advertising to you. The information collected from cookies may also be used to improve the functionality of our website. Some cookies are session cookies, that is, they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session. Most web browser applications have features that can notify you when you receive a cookie or prevent cookies from being sent. You are always free to use browser settings to prevent cookies from being placed, but in that case you may not be able to use certain features of our website, and you may be required to reenter your password more frequently.

This may also include ads served on other companies’ sites. These ads may be based on information collected by us or third parties (for example, when you register for a site). These ads may also be based on your activities on our websites or on third party sites.     We maintain security measures to guard personal information. Please be aware, however, that the Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our site will be completely safe. Any email you send through the Internet cannot be completely protected against unauthorized interception. You also have a significant role in protecting your information and, if you create an account, must keep your user name and password private. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet.

    Our sites are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18.   10. Changes to this Privacy Policy.

    FREELAND FOODS reserves the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make a change to the terms of this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting an updated copy on our website, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law. The new Privacy Policy shall automatically be effective upon posting on this site.

    This section applies to residents of U.S. states that have enacted comprehensive privacy laws that apply to us. If you a resident of any such U.S. state, this section will prevail over any conflicting provisions in other sections of this Privacy Policy.

    • Personal information described in the California Consumer Records Statute, such as address or telephone number.

    • Internet or other similar network activity, such as browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.
    • Professional or employment-related information, and education information, such as your resume, work history, education history, and certifications, if you apply for a job.
    • Inferences, such as a profile about your preferences, characteristics, and behavior.

    We collect above categories of personal information from you, through automatic data collection, and from other sources and retain each category of personal information as described in the “Data retention” section above.

    • Helping to ensure security and integrity to the extent the use of your personal information is reasonably necessary and proportionate for these purposes.
    • Debugging to identify and repair errors in our systems.

    • Providing services on our behalf, including maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, fulfilling transactions, verifying identity information, processing payments, providing promotional competitions, and other services.

    We may also use the information we collect for our operational purposes, purposes for which we provide you with additional notice, provided that such additional purposes are compatible with the context in which your personal information was collected, or with your consent.

    Disclosures of personal information; notice of right to opt-out. Within the last 12 months, we have disclosed all or substantially all categories of personal information above for our business purposes.     We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, but like many companies that operate online, we share personal information for marketing purposes. As a result, we may share identifiers, commercial information, and inferences with our advertising partners for targeted advertising. You have the right to opt-out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; see “Your Privacy Rights” immediately below for more information. We do not sell or share, and in the past 12 months have not sold or shared, personal information of California consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

    Profiling and sensitive data. We do not process your personal information for the purpose of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects under applicable law.

    Your privacy rights. You have certain rights related to your personal information, including:

    • The right to know what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the categories of sources from which your personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing your personal information, the categories of third parties to whom we disclose your personal information, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
    • The right to confirm whether we process personal information about you and request access to such personal information (including, if applicable, in a portable and readily usable format), and if applicable, information about third parties or types of third parties to whom personal information may have been disclosed.
    • The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we have collected about you.
    • The right to delete personal information that we have collected about you.
    • The right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

    Our website also recognizes the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, which enables you to opt out of certain uses or disclosures of your information. If you notify us of your preference through GPC, we will treat such signal as a valid request to opt out of sharing or targeted advertising for the associated browser or device, and, if we are able to associate the device sending the signal to a specific account, we will apply the opt out request to the account as well.     If your rights request is denied, you may have a right to lodge an appeal with us. If you would like to appeal against our decision for your request, you may submit a request for appeal by emailing us at marketing@goraw.com.

    As required or permitted under applicable law, we will take steps to verify your identity before acting on your request to exercise your rights, and may require you to provide information about yourself to verify your identity.

    You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You may make such a designation by providing the agent with written permission to act on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of that written permission, or may require you to verify your own identity, even if you choose to use an agent.
